Frosty the snowman....

My second scheduled post of the day!!

Over at My Mum's Craft Shop blog this week, the team having bringing some non tradtional Christmas coloured inspiration to you...here's my efforts!!

I absolutley love this little snowman however I thought the non tradtional colours would be a problem for me however it just kind of fell into place and I think it looks well ...even if I say so myself!!

The papers have been in my stash forever and I think they are from blonde Moments.  The stamp is Trim the Branches from My Favourite Things which I coloured with copics.  The snowflakes have been punched with my MS punches, in the centres I have added some gem dots which are amazing, also added glitter to he snowflakes. i cut out a couple of trees from the same papers to add a bit of something extra...not sure what but they look ok!!

supplies:
papers - stash
punches - MS Himalayan Snowflake and Arctic Snowflake

It's a celebration...

Good morning Saturday bloggers...oh it's freezy, freezy today!!

It's all about celebrations this weekend...before I get onto the card stuff...I am going to be tired and under the influence of a wee wine or two this weekend...Holly is 16, my mum is 70.....and it's also my mum and dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary...not sure how that all happened at the one time!!

So over at Sweet Stampin we are celebrating....it's our birthday...yay!! however the theme is simply "it's a celebration"....so interpret that in whichever way you like.

We also have some fabulous sponsors this week all giving a £10 voucher to one lucky winner...

So for my card I used papers from MME noteable, the image is from Saturated Canary which I coloured with copics.  I used my big sunflower die to make the flower and the Nifty at fifty die I bought at the SECC...I have a few people with big birthdays coming up so thought that was the perfect die to buy!!  I made this for a friend at work who turned 50 last week....

Pretty Poppies...

Good morning all and my post for My Mum's Craft Shop....oh my isn't it baltic??  We have had a severe weather warning for Central Scotland on Tuesday and the schools have had the warning too and pupils have been issued with their code red letters....lol!!  They are preparing ahead of events this year by the looks of things!

Anyway onto my card...I have used the Pretty Poppies stamps and poppy and Leaves dies from My Favourite Things...I am loving these soooooooooo much!!  I can't believe I have only bought these now...they are a must!!

So first I inked up the script and stamped it several times on the creamy coloured card, I then distressed the edges with some distress ink.  I then used the dies to cut out the poppy heads and then inked around the holes....Then using some white card, I stamped the poppies using some red ink.  I then layered up both pieces of card so the poppies are centred through the die cuts.  Once these were in place I then inked the poppy stems and die cut the leaves and poppy seed and fixed them in place.  The message is from the same set, so I layered that onto black card and stuck a little button on to the corner.  I added some card candi to one of the corners....hope you likey!!

GDT at BunnyZoe Challenge blog...

Good morning bloggers on this frosty morning!!

This morning I am sharing my card I made for my Guest spot over at Bunny Zoe challenge Blog for the month of November...I was so chuffed when Nikki asked me if I would like a turn at guest designing...how could I refuse!!

So the theme this month is "shabby chic" not a theme I have to say I am good at however hopefully my efforts have paid off.

The stamp is Autumn  from Saturated Canary which you can buy from Bunny Zoe's shop, I coloured her with copics and did some shading with polychromos, the hair was a bit scary as there's loads of it and I thought I might have to chop some of it off however I think it turned out ok... The papers are digi papers from the Sweet Shoppe, I stitched each of the layers onto bazzill card and then distressed all around the edges to give a shabby look.  The leaves have been cut with my die-namics autumn wreath die, I then inked them up with lots of autumnal colours and then crinkled the edges of them too for more shabbiness!!

Hope you likey!!

A quickie before X Factor!!

When I say a quickie...that's the post and not the card!!  I have been colouring away at this image all week just doing 10 minutes each night...

So the stamp is from LOTV and I coloured with distress inks this time...I have neglected them and I haven't really had the time to colour with them hence the reason this one took me all week.  The papers are Fancy pants winterland and those teeny wee flowers have been cut with one of my new signature dies. I added lots of pearls and gems from The Hobby House(need more) to finish off.
