My final GDT card for Cupcake Craft Challenges...

Good morning fellow is my final card as a guest over at Cupcake Craft Challenges!! Thank you ladies for having me, it was a pleasure...

So this weeks challenge is "Best of British" and you can take your inspiration from the photo below..

For my card I have taken inspiration from the London part of the photo, the papers are Portobello Road - Papermania as are the the buttons and bow. I embossed the union jack and distressed it down so that some of the white core would show through...I layered each of the layers onto kraft. I cut the bunting using my MFT banners die and attached them to some heavy button twine and the flower has also been cut from a MFT flower trio die. The stamp is from the slapstick range at Penny Black called London and I just added some minimal colouring using copics.....finished with some doodling around the edges...hope you like.

My first GDT card for Cupcake...

Good morning folks and welcome to my first scheduled post of the day. When the lovely Faye dropped me an email last month to ask if I would be guest over at Cupcake Craft Challenge for the month of April....well how could I refuse!!

So here we have my first offering...the theme is "something you would find in your sewing basket". I have mainly focused on the stitching side of things and have used this fab digi from Clear Dollar Stamps called Sew Grateful which I thought would work perfectly.

I coloured the image with copics, the papers are Alora from Bo Bunny. I made the backing papers look like a patchwork effect and added some zig zag stitching, on the images I added some embroidered stitching. To finish I added a couple of buttons and I threaded the needle with some embroidery thread. Pop over to the Cupcake Craft Challenge Blog to check out the other cards...

The stamp is Hazel and Nutty from Sugar Nellie which I have coloured with copics. I had to add some doodling as it looked bare without it!! The flowers have all been made with various MFT rolled dies...oooh I love them so much although it took me longer to make the flowers than it did the card!!
