The Sugar Bowl Challenge #68

Good morning sugar fans and I hope you are all raring to go with our new challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. This fortnight's challenge is Kiki's sketch below....

....and of course the optional theme which is "autumn". As normal there is the fabby prize of 4 Sugar Nellie stamps but if we get over 100 entries then the prize will be 6 stamps...woo hoo!!

For my card I have used papers from Jillybean Soup - Apple Cheddar Soup collection...they are yummy!! The base layer is kraft card which I am loving at the minute and I have stitched each of the layers and also distressed each layer with my TH distressing tool. The stamp is called "Apple of my Eye" from Simply Sassy at Sugar Nellie which you can buy here from Funky Kits. I coloured this little Sassy with Distress Inks....I reckon this one took me about 4 hours in total to colour as I did it over a few days but I am well chuffed with this one. I added a couple of flowers that have been cut with my MFT flower trio die and then I added a button ans a little itsy silver apple charm!!

I love these little snow people!!

Good evening folks...well I was desperate to try colouring on kraft as so many of you use that technique and it looks amazing however I don't have the right tools so I have improvised...I have used cheapo waterpencils. The stamp is "Christmas Garland" from Sugar Nellie which you can buy here from Funky Kits. The papers are just so yummy...Fancy Pants - Hot Chocolate collection. I punched out a few snowklakes and glittered them up, added the ribbon and the stamped sentiment is from LOTV....oh and I added some white glitter to the snowman's hat but I think it would have looked better if I coloured underneath first...so hope you like it.

Wish upon a star in autumn...

Morning bloggers....almost the weekend again and I will be back at work :( but never mind somebody's got to do it!! I made this card last night mainly for the Sugar Nellie Facebook challenge which did actually throw me a bit. The papers are just delish they are Jillybean Soup - Apple Cheddar and the image is "Wish upon a Star" from Sugar Nellie, which you can buy here from Funky Kits. I coloured this little sweetie with copics....now I quite like the feathering technique and then blending the colours together and this little skirt is the perfect size to add a few colours too. Although this is a Christmas fairy, I think she could be used anytime of the year but this is mix of autumn and Christmas....hope you likey!!

Oh and did you see...that's right I found my MFT rolled flower die...I hate to admit but I found it at the bottom of my pile of ironing, how on earth it got there I will never know!! i have entered the challenges bwlow.

I made this card a few weeks ago for a friend at work but haven't got round to posting it. do you know in my little office that this year there has been 3 sets of twins...we have put a ban on the water cooler cos it must be coming from there!!
The papers were in my stash so I don't know where I got them and I can't remember where I got the image...sorry but I do know it has been coloured with copics!! I also added a few embellies aswell.

Good morning sweet stamping friends and my scheduled post...yay!! Oh how the weeks are flying in, it will be Christmas before we know it!! The challenge today over at Sweet Stampin is "for a teeenager" and there is also the added option of using the sketch which you can see on the challenge blog.

...who are offering one lucky winner 5 digis.

and

We also have our monthly sponsor Heather Ellis...

Heather Ellis

who are offering 3 digis to one lucky winner.

For my card I have used papers from MME and first Edition, the image is from Sugar Nellie, which you can buy here from Funky Kits. I coloured this little rock chick with copics...that kilt was a bit of a nightmare however I think it looks ok, you can't really see the reds in her that much compared to IRL!! The stamped the letters out and then layered them to give a 3d look.

Pop over and see what the others have to inspire you.

The Sugar Bowl Challenge #67

Good morning sugar fans and welcome to another challenge over at The Sugar Bowl. I hope you have all been tempted with the new sugar that went on sale last week over at Funky Kits.

This weeks challenge is Erika's fabulous sketch below and the option of using your scraps.

....of course the prize is 4 Sugar Nellie stamps but wait for it.....over 100 entries and that goes up to 6 stamps...woo hoo!!

For my card I have used Gorjuss Bumble Bee from Sugar Nellie, which you can buy here from Funky Kits, and I coloured with copics. I have also used a scrap of DP which I think is from Doodlebug. The ribbon was a scrap which I had left over and was extremely difficult to make into a bow, first because it was so small and secondly because of my big sausage fingers!! I also added a couple of heart pins I had in my stash. I finished with some doodled lines too...hope you likey!!

Make sure to check out The Sugar Nellie blog to for added inspiration.

Anything but a card....

Hi all...second scheduled post of the day....thought I would wait til lunch time so I can do the linky thing on my lunch break!! When I saw Faye's lovely work of art I thought..I am going to make one of those...I need one for my desk anyway!! So here we are...a little bit out of my comfort zone and it didn't quite go according to plan!! So I used an old tub, then I sanded it and rubbed it and primed it and rubbed it and painted it but then I thought I could add some tissue papers around the lip on the top but that's where it all went wrong!! Looking at it now though, I did manage to fix it up a bit and it's not as bad a sit was!! I covered the tub in MME - So Sophie papers, there is also a band all the way around with matching buttons on, maybe should have taken a photo from the side, oh well, I cut the felt flowers out using my MFT rolled daisy die...I think this die works perfectly on felt, I am not so keen on it with papers. I then added a bow and a couple of punched butterflies.....hope it's not too naff!!

Birthday girl.....

Hello all the weekend bloggers and a wee scheduled post from me cos I am at work...yay!! I am hoping that it won't be freezing this weekend as last weekend was baltic and I had to sit with my jacket on!!

Now I know your thinking...a blue flower but I wanted something a bit different and it's amazing how this litle stamp can look so different depending on how you colour it!! So for my card I have used papers from MME...can't remember which as they are odds that i had left. The stamp is from Lili of the Valley which I coloured with promarkers...I actually coloured the image at the card class the other night but only got round to actually making it into a card yesterday.

Have you seen...there's a DT Call over at Sweet Stampin'...check it out here!!
