How Charming at Paper Sundaes

Godd afternoon all you Sundae bloggers and my second scheduled post today. Here we are with another challenge over at Paper Sundaes. The cghallenge this week is "how charming"....which means use a charm on your project.

This week we are sponsored by Wags 'n' Whiskers.

The lovely Lacey is giving one lucky winner a $20 gift certificate to spend in her online store.

For my card I have used "Snuzzle Love" from Wags 'n' Whiskers...isn't she so cute?? I have coloured her with copics aswell. TYhe papers ate a mixture of MME Fine & Dandy - Tickled Pink and Quite Contrary. Now I did have a cherry charm but had a bit of a mishap with the pliers and the charm...so I have added a Making Memories charmed word. I ruffled some ribbon to layer underneath the green strip and also added a bow. I really fancied joining the Colour Create challenge and you have to choose 3 fruits from the photo provided so the I have chosen...cherry red, watermelon and golden delicious apple green...those are more yellow/green than a dark green and the paper has cherries too. I have entered the challenges below.

Colour Create - 3 fruits
Little Claire's - anything goes

Plain & Simple

A quickie tonight...I made this card the other night at our card class but just added the glitter to it tonight. First I placed a punched circle from a post it note onto the card and then added some chalks and blended them together to give a sort of sunset type look although it's not sunset colours!! Next I stamped the flower and the message..added glitter...quickest card I've ever made....can't remember which stamp company these are from as I borrowed them from a friend at the class.

Whoop whoop Awards time

I was going to wait til the end of the week when I was off work to post my awards but I decided to post them tonight but it was a choice between ironing and blogging so as you can the blogging won. Well I am getting so rubbish at posting my awards...I think I am trying to do a million things at once and then I forget...it's not that I don't want them cos I do...I love getting them.

first up...I received 2 Love awards from Faye and Marianne...thank you girlies...

There are a couple of conditions for the award....

Create a post where you post the 'LOVE BLOG' image. You should also blog the persons link that gave you the award and inform her/him that you accept the award. You can then choose 3 - 5 favourite blogs which you also link in your post, then each blogger will inform you that they have been tagged....

The aim of this is that we bring good blogs to light, so I would ask you not to blog fellow bloggers that already have 3,000 followers. As always, the hardest part is to pick who to pass this on to, there are so many bloggers I could give it to, so . . .the 5 I have chosen, in no particular order are......

Now on to the next one....I received this lovely award from CherylAnn a couple of weeks ago and forgot to blog it so better late than never as they say...

As the recipient of this awesome award, I have to tell you eight things you may not know about me.

I also received this one from Pattie...thanks so much and I am so sorry for being rubbish at posting this until now!!

for each of the above I have to tell you 10 things about myself that you may not know so here goes...
  1. I was a gymnast/trampolinist when I was younger(may have told you that already)....can still somersault(which I am very proud of).
  2. I don't like cooking unless I am on holiday from work.
  3. My favourite food is any pasta...except any with fish mixed through it!
  4. My favourite sweet is.....mmmm turkish delight...mmm either kind with chocolate on or the stuff from Turkey with the icing sugary stuff on...I love the chocolate one when I have had it in the fridge and then eat all the chocolate so I am left with the jelly part...mmm!!
  5. I exposed myself when on holiday in Turkey..slid down a very fast flume and it whipped my bikini top up around my neck as I emerged from the water...embarrassing!!
  6. I have been known to play tricks on people at work...just for fun...they beg me to to do it! It's because i can do stuff with a straight face and I don't burst out laughing....I have to keep in with the young ones!!
  7. I always wanted to be an air hostess!! mmm don't know why that never happenend!!
  8. My friend and I had to escape and run from a restaurant a number of years ago when we didn't have enough money to pay...we left what money we did have....this was in Italy when we went to visit my family....so naughty!! Before married life and children and Lou if you happen to read this then you will know this you who i am talking about!!
  9. I like my clothes to be hung in a particular order...colour coded and that sort of thing. I can get dressed in the dark cos I know exactly where everything is although I did go to work a couple of months back with my top on inside out...kitchen cupboards are a bit like that too...tins must be upright and facing the front and grouped together...Michael messes them up to annoy me which of course I can't leave, I need to sort them. I did go to bed one night knowing my kitchen cupboard was messed up...had to get up and straighten those tins.
  10. Last one...not sure if I should tell you this or not...this is a bad one... a few years ago we were going to the inlaws on christmas Day, I had a Christmas cake to take along but somehow the dog managed to get the lid of the box and have a bit lick at the iced poinsetta on the top...it dried off beautifully...I didn't have a piece....thought I would pass on the cake...lol!!
Phew.... now I need to pass this on to 10 people..so once again in no particular order...

Paper Sundaes DT card

Well here we are..I can't believe it's now February!! The weather has been horrendous between snow, sleet, hail, gale force winds....oh my goodness!! Today's challenge over at Paper Sundaes is to use "two images" now that can be two girls, two boys, an animal with a girl/boy or even a background and an image in the forefront...kind of like what I have done.

One lucky winner will win a $25 certificate to use online at My Creative Classroom...they have some fab classes.

I have used two Tilda images..the brick window and Tilda hanging out of the window. I don't have these stamps but one of my fellow follwers sent me these so I thought I would put them to good use!! I coloured the stone bricks in various colours and then blended them all together and once I had coloured Tilda, I cut her out and gave her a 3d look leaning out of the window. I used my copics for this one as I have more colour options at the moment. The papers are from Echo Park - A Walk in the Park.

Just Magnolia - anything goes with the option of ribbon
Crafty Catz - tartain/plaid(delete me if this doesn't qualify as plaid)

I used some scraps of paper from October Afternoon and Basic Grey, coloured this fabby little fairy with copics, added some gems and a couple of flowers which I made from the sizzix 3d flower die...oh and yes to finish I added some stickles...not sure if you can see that in the photo.
